Welcome to Sea Star Resort. Sea Star Resort is reminiscent of a tranquil Vietnamese village in an evergreen coconut grove. The resort is proud to have the nicest stretch of Long Beach with natural shade from Malabar almond and palm trees. Thanks to these trees holding the golden sand, Sea Star is the only resort in Phu Quoc that has bungalows right on the beach.
Sea Star Resort has designed our bungalows with respect for the environment and sensitivity to local culture, a combination designed to give our guests a peaceful and rewarding experience.
Sea Star Resort strive to exceed the expectations of our guests in every facet of our service. This means bigger rooms with spacious veranda, genuine local hospitality, complete tranquility and excellent value for money.

"We stayed at Sea Star resort April 14, 15 & 16 and had a great time. We were in a sea view bungalow and were pleased we booked one of these instead of the ones right on the beach as ours was very private whereas I think the ones on the beach are too close to everyone who is sunbathing and also because their verandah is only separated from the one next door by a thin bamboo partition. Ours was a completely separate bungalow. The rooms were serviced daily and, although basic, they were all that you needed - double bed (quite hard!), mozzie net, mini bar, TV, large bathroom with unlimited hot water. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful and honest - my husband had forgotten he had left some money under his pillow when we checked out...we went down the beach for lunch before returning to Sea Star to catch our taxi to the airport (which Sea Star paid for!) and the man at reception said that he had something for us. He opened his safe and took out the money we had left in the room. We hadn't realised we had left it there! The resort is a family run business - everyone who works there is part of the same extended family - and it was nice to stay somewhere owned by locals so please support them! We rented a motorbike from Sea Star and all the ones available for rent were in excellent condition - we paid 160 000 dong / day for an automatic (don't get a manual as the dirt roads are much easier with an auto). Breakfast (provided) was simple but sufficient to start the day. Take your own beach towel - we didn't and I had expected to be able to buy a sarong to use on the beach as a towel but there is no shopping on the island. Internet is available in a separate building that is part of the resort for very cheap rates. We will definitely stay there next time we go back to Phu Quoc".

“I would like to share our experience with travellers looking at staying in Phu Quoc. We booked a Beach front villa at the Sea Star Resort having read many reviews on Trip Advisor. We were met at the airport by a rep in a comfortable vehicle and transported to the sea star resort in good time although the rep and driver were chatting away in their vietnamese tongue which I found a bit offensive as I knew they could both speak english and were virtually ignoring their guests. On arrival at the Sea Star the Manager asked for our passports which would be kept at the resort. I refused to hand over our passports as I have travelled the world and never had to part with my passport. If this meant leaving the resort I would do so. However the Manager said that if I could accompany the resort rep to the Police Station that night at 7pm that this would be ok, which I did (on a motorcycle) The location of the resort is fantastic and right on the the beach. The facilities are basically designed for backpackers. The beds are hard, pillows small, towells thin, no hot water at the basin although hot water in the shower. Basically a beautiful location with average facilities. Please bear in mind that most people staying at Sea Star were transient backpackers and my wife and myself were curious and dissapointed. We stayed in Singapore on our return yesterday at the Crowne Plaza Changi and it cost as much for one night as three nights at Sea Star. I guess you get what you pay for. Sea Star is cheap but very basic in a fantastic location. Make your own mind up as we did enjoy our 3 nights there.”

“Beautiful location right on the beach. We stayed in the Garden bungalows (2 couples) and could see the ocean from the front of our rooms. Would have only been a 20 meter walk to the beach. The rooms were very clean, well serviced and quite new. The restaurant was on the beach and had very ncie food, although not a lot of Western food. The staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.”
